M2M: A Day at Camp & Sample Schedule   arrow

Each day at camp is different. Our counselors design age-appropriate curriculum to encourage exploration, discovery, and self-actualization. Each day’s lessons and activities focus on a daily theme. 

Activities include hiking, exploring natural habitats, cooking, crafts, games, and more.

7:00-8:00 am — Wake up and Breakfast

We will be waking up bright and early to start our day! Campers can pick from a small variety of healthy breakfast options.

8:00 am — Nature Activity

Campers will explore nature with a fun and hands-on activity. These could include: a nature scavenger hunt, nature craft, and so much more!

9:00-12:00 pm — Hike

We will be taking a short hike to explore the local trails, learn about the natural history and resources of the area, get some exercise, and explore! Spinkled in will be lots of trail games, and snack and water breaks.

12:00-1:00 pm — Lunch and Choose Your Own Adventure

Lunch at the group site, by the creek, or on a mountain – we eat wherever our adventures take us. Campers reapply sunscreen and bug spray after lunch, and choose from several brief activities and/or games.

1:00-4:00 pm — Outdoor Skills & Camp-Wide Events

Campers continue to learn about natural resources, nature, and outdoor skills. These may include: tent set-up, fire building, knot tying, and more! They may also enjoy water games, yoga and/or mindfulness, and camp-wide events or games like All Camp Gatherings, Capture-the-Flag or skits, to name a few.

4:00-6:00 pm — Outdoor Cooking & Dinner

Camper will learn how to cook outdoors safely, and have a healthy and delicious meal!

6:00-7:00 pm — Games or Camper Free Time

Campers can take free time or play group games.

7:00-8:00 pm — Campfire Time (if no fire bans)

We will be debriefing and reflecting on our day, telling ghost stories, playing quiet games, and staying warm under the night sky.

8:00-9:00 pm — Night Activity

We will embrace the darkness and learn about nocturnal animals, night vision, and more, while gaining confidence to be outdoors at night.

9:00 pm — Lights Out

Cozy up in your tent and sleeping bag for a good nights sleep.
