4-H20 Summer Camp:
Program: When it comes to providing your child with a life-changing experience, there’s nothing quite like 4‑H summer camp. Camp provides the full benefits of a 4‑H experience coupled with the fun and wonder of being in the outdoors. Our camps give kids an introductory opportunity to explore and and grow their skills and connection with the outdoors. We build kids’ skills, knowledge, confidence, and determination, teaching the next generation of adventurers to thrive in the outdoors. Register today!
Our Philosophy: We aim to establish a lifelong connection between campers and the outdoors by providing positive experiences with nature. Camp activities are carefully planned to help meet this goal while creating meaningful and memorable experiences at the same time. Throughout the 3 day camp, kids will learn and build mastery of outdoor skills such as fishing, paddling, fire building (dependent on fire restrictions), wildlife (plant and animal) identification, tent set-up, outdoor cooking, and Leave-no-trace principles. Additionally, youth will explore the aquatic world and watershed of the Arkansas valley through a series of hands on activities, including: white water rafting, fly fishing, fishery tour, and stream exploration. In addition, we will be building team cohesiveness, community, and lasting friendships.
At the heart of our camp program are three leading concepts:
- Community: Campers will try new things and make new friends in our welcoming, supportive community.
- Confidence: Campers build confidence through self actualization and skill building.
- Outdoors: Campers learn how they can care for the world around them as they discover the importance of wild and green spaces, and water ecosystems.
