Denver 4-H is always looking for adults who want to bring their passion to life, working in partnership with youth who want to learn and build. All of our volunteer positions include the opportunity to learn and grow – not the youth. Here is some information about how:
- Volunteers can be club or project leaders, curriculum developers, chaperones, social communicators, resource guides and more! We try to customize the volunteer experience to fit your knowledge, interests and skills. What interests you about volunteering with Denver 4-H? Since our volunteer team is made up of artists, scientists, chefs, counselors and more, we are excited about what potential volunteers might share with young people!
- As a Youth Development Intern with Denver 4-H, you are able to customize your experience to really gain the knowledge and skills that YOU feel will help you develop professionally. College students practice theories and lesson from classes in our programs; educators and teacher candidates often try out activities they have created with 4-H youth; artists, scientists, chefs, and counselors all share their expertise with young people; and with a direct link to Colorado State University, we have multiple opportunities for interns to practice research, marketing, curriculum development, and more.
- Our AmeriCorps members are serving in Denver 4-H programs as club and project leaders, and gaining experience in a professional setting as they continue their educational pursuits. Among the benefits of serving in the AmeriCorps program, is work with our partners of youth development around the metro area, connecting with diverse groups of kids and families, and customize a service experience to gain the knowledge and skills to develop professionally. Depending on the length of service, AmeriCorps members are also eligible for living and educational stipends.
